Homework Oh Homework I Hate You You Stink

I'm back to my regular schedule of working two jobs, going to school, and training. School is an added dilemma to the regiment. After a days worth of studying and training, I feel like this:

My Best Life

As crazy as it sounds, I have been a member of Oprah Winfrey's cult for many years. She has been an inspiration to many throughout the world. Last week, I watched her "Best Life" Series and have downloaded the webinar courses to my Ipod. So far, it has given me the resources how to succeed in life.

Part of my goals is to inspire many people that the key to longevity. I have accomplished that feat. A few coworkers and I have created a 5K Team. Our first event is going to be next month. In addition, I plan to do more century rides, marathons, and triathlons with people I truly love.

I never set myself for failure. If I do, I simply pick up the pieces and move forward. Thus, I am living my best life.

A Friendly Ride

Riding with a group of people is always fun and challenging. It's a chance to get acquainted with others who share the same passion in a healthy, fit environment. In addition, it allows individuals to compete with others at various levels.

I was able to ride with people who have watched me grow as an athlete. They have witnessed my pitfalls, trials, and tribulations. With their help, I got faster and stronger.

Although today's ride with a small group was slow, I seemed to amaze the people (and a dog) who were always at my side. I may not be up to their speed yet, but I felt confident. In the end, I felt like this:

Dream Run 10K

The Good:I finished!
The Bad:I finished last... sniff!:)

With heavy windchill and frost everywhere, I was able to complete the course in an hour and a half. The easy course was located at the famed Woodward Park in Fresno, California. Very little rolling hills. Though there was approximately 100 runners, I finished last, but strong, with many people cheering at my side! Oh what a feeling!

Riding in 38 Degree Weather

The weather can be deviating to an athlete. While riding in sub-38 degree temperature this morning with a friend, I was already experiencing numb fingers and toes. I didn't have toe covers or a set of decent gloves to keep me warm. The gloves were worn out after many miles. All I had were tights and a long sleeve jersey I received last Christmas as a gift from my sister. If only I had the proper equipment with the gentlemen shown on the picture things would be different.

After 2 hours of riding, I decided to head to my local bike shop and purchase a set of Toe Warmers and gloves. Hopefully they will help me with my ride tomorrow.
